If only every trial were as funny as this National Shakespeare Award-winning play! Let the Christmas spirit last just a little longer and come see Bellevue Civic Theatre’s The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge at the Theatre at Meydenbauer Center, January 29th-February 6th, 2010.
Just one year after his miraculous transformation, Ebenezer Scrooge is back to his old ways and is suing Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future for breaking and entering, kidnapping, slander, pain and suffering, attempted murder and the intentional infliction of emotional distress. One by one, Bob Cratchit, Scrooge's nephew Fred, solicitor and philanthropist Sara Anne Wainwright, and the ghosts themselves take the witness stand to give their account of that famous night. Can the spirit of Christmas survive? If laughter and goodwill are any indication, Christmas is here to stay! The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge is directed by Bill Huls and stars NW Favorite Robert Alan Barnett with Keith Remon, Doug Knoop, Nathaniel Jones, Jason Pead, Ellen Zambrowsky-Huls, Sean Maurer, Heather McRobbie and Elizabeth Adkisson. The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge runs January 29th-February 6th at the Theatre at Meydenbauer Center (11100 NE 6th St.). Friday and Saturday performances are at 8pm, Thursday at 7:30pm, and Sunday matinee at 2pm. Single show tickets are $30.00 for adults.
