 Village Theatre announces the cast for the incredible new musical, Million Dollar Quartet, on stage September 19 - October 28, 2007 in Issaquah and November 2 - 18, 2007 in Everett.
Best known for his role as Alex Rogan in the 1984 sci-fi film The Last Starfighter, Lance Guest reprises the role of Johnny Cash. Guest portrayed the music legend in the 2006 reading of Million Dollar Quartet and is a member of the touring satirical folk band, The Foreman. Theatrical credits include Look Homeward Angel (Playmakers Repertory Company, NC), The Weather Outside (Barrow Group, NYC), and Baby with the Bathwater (LA Public Theatre, CA), among others. His starring TV roles included Lou Grant from 1981-1982 and Knots Landing in 1991. He has guest starred on St. Elsewhere, The Wonder Years, Party of Five, JAG, NYPD Blue, The X-Files, Becker, Life Goes On and House.
Rising recording artist and actor, Levi Kreis returns to Village Theatre to play Jerry Lee Lewis, after playing the role of George in the 2002 production of One Red Flower. Hailing from Los Angeles, Kreis recently completed a 251-city national tour promoting his two albums, One of the Ones and The Gospel According To Levi, and he has shared the stage with Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Snoop Dog, and Collective Soul. Theatrical credits include the national tour of RENT (Roger) and Southern Baptist Sissies, the multi-award winning play written by Del Shores. Movie credits include Don't Let Go and Frailty with Bill Paxton and Matthew McConaughey.
Rob Lyons is thrilled to reprise his role of the pioneer of rockabilly, Carl Perkins. He also played in the 2006 reading of Million Dollar Quartet at Village Theatre, as well as in the full production of the same musical at the Seaside Music Theater in Daytona Beach, FL. Now living in Los Angeles, Lyons is working on original music for a full-length album and playing shows at Los Angeles' hottest nightclubs with his band, Megaphonic.
Off the heels of last season's hit as Rocco in Once Upon a Time in New Jersey, Dane Stokinger returns to play the "King", Elvis Presley. In addition to playing Albert in Bye Bye Birdie at Village Theatre, Northwest area credits include, Jerry in The Full Monty, Man #2 in Stephen Sondheim's Putting it together, Gordon in A New Brain and the 5th Avenue Theatre's AMT Touring production of Klondike the Great Alaskan Gold Rush. National credits include the tour of Miss Saigon and the European tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Returning as well is Matt Wolfe, who is to play Sam Phillips, the "Father of Rock-n-Roll". He has performed in Village Theatre's The Who's Tommy as Uncle Ernie and Captain Walker, Rudolph in Hello, Dolly!, and Charlie Cowell and Harold Hill in The Music Man. He also teaches for Village Theatre's KIDSTAGE program. Other theatrical credits include The 5th Avenue Theatre's The Sound of Music, Seattle Children's Theatre as The Bunny in Goodnight Moon, Showtunes Theatre Company's Fiorello, and as P.T. Barnum in Barnum. At Second Story Repertory he appeared in Fiddler, Jacques Brel and Arsenic and Old Lace, and as director for The Fantasticks and Man of La Mancha.
Playing the only female character is Jessica Skerritt as Elvis' showgirl girlfriend, Dyanne. She has been in South Pacific at Village Theatre, as well as the female lead in the reading of The Last Starfighter in 2006. She has also performed at Showtunes!, ArtsWest, ReAct, Civic Light Opera, Contemporary Classics and Harlequin Productions. Favorite roles include Jenny Lind in Barnum, Susan in tick, tick...BOOM!, Cathy in The Last 5 Years, and Flora in Flora the Red Menace. Up next: Della in Gifts of the Magi at ArtsWest.
