The MOTHER [white female, 40-60] The father’s ex-wife and mother of Charlie and Tilda. Three lines.
GEORGE [non-white male, 40-60] Fiancée of the mother. Two lines.

Our Seattle-based, non-profit company, XtraMath (www.XtraMath.org), is looking for a local, native Spanish-speaking actor, male or female, to appear in our online videos as the math coach — a character known as “Mr. C.” As you can see from our videos https://vimeo.com/84994452, Mr. C is a friendly, open, approachable teacher who explains to students how to use the website and encourages them in their progress. We are looking for someone who is: --male or female, 25-45 years old --a native Spanish speaker with neutral accent --comfortable in front of the camera --has the poise of a friendly, experienced teacher

The “audition” will consist of a very short video of the actor reading the following script. The easiest way to send a video is by using a smartphone and sharing it directly with me via email, jennifer@xtramath.org.

Alternately, you can upload a video to YouTube and send me a link. Here are some sample instructions: http://www.wikihow.com/Upload-a-Video-to-YouTube. We recommend the “unlisted” privacy option. Either way is fine. We promise not to share your video with anyone else.

Trevor Magoonbarker Casting Male Lead for Short Horror/Thiller The Knife
I just had a lead in my upcoming short back out in the last minute and I need to quickly cast the role again. The shooting days are the 4th, 5th and the 18th. This short will be used to raise money for a feature through grants and other means. I would like to cast this Friday the 26th. Any time of day will be fine and it will be in Federal Way. The film is called The Knife. The basic story is about a knife that can possess anybody that does not have strong will power. Throughout the film the knife causes a lot of death and destruction. The character is named Charlie. He is the main villain in the film. He is the one who gets possessed by the knife. The knife's goal is to destroy and ancient bloodline that it has a connection with. His main target is his niece Veronica who before he was possessed was the only person he was able to connect with. He was basically a dead beat type person before he was possessed. He also has a lot of confrontation with his more respectable brother Barry.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Auditions at SSR

SecondStory Repertory is holding auditions for our November 2014 Theater for Young Audiences production of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

Alexander is having a bad day. A terrible day. A horrible day. To be quite honest, it's a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. But then, everybody has bad days, sometimes. Not only does Alexander wake up with gum in his hair, but his mother forgets to pack him dessert, and his best friend decides he's not his best friend anymore. And if that's not bad enough, Alexander's brothers don't have any cavities but—he does. And just when it can't get any worse, there are lima beans for supper and —yuck!—kissing on TV. It is enough to make anyone want to go to Australia.

The show runs November 1-23, 2014 on Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm and 3pm. We will have school shows during the weeks of November 10-14, 2014 and November 17-21, 2014; shows are at 9:30am and 11:30am. The specific days and times of the school shows will be determined on opening due to schools booking at the beginning of the school year. Rehearsal schedule is Sunday-Thursday 7p-9:30p. Rehearsals begin October 5, 2014.

Directed by Kate Swenson and Music Direction by Julie Parsons.

Audition Date: Sunday September 7, 2014 7pm-10pm (SSR)
